1. The areas of emphasis on my bag is the large rose which is a mixture of red, black and white, along with the diamond slightly above it that is also a mixture of colors. I used elements such as color, size and texture to make them stand out.
Color: compared to the rest of the design on the bag, I made the emphasis areas stand out and be more colorful versus the ret of the diamonds and roses on the bag are more dull.
Size: I made the single rose enlarged and the double diamonds larger than the other designs on the page.
Texture: the different tones in the roses and diamonds shows that it isn't just a fat surface but it has shape.
2. I used elements to lead attention around the bag by making the shape appeal to the eye and by connecting each section to one another by making it big enough and colorful enough.
3. A design idea that makes my idea unique would be the arrangement and how it is filled but there is a good use of negative space.
4. My design relates to the word Florid because when I looked up Florid it meant something Rosy Red or something very extragvaggant so I chose Roses because they're both red and fancy in a way and of course diamonds because they're fancy.

The two words that I picked were Avatar and Florid. Out of those two, I thought I would be able to work better with Florid. When that word came to mind, the first thing that popped into my head was the color red and something very exquisite, like diamonds.  I put the two together and created this design for my bag which I think represents the word very well. It is simple yet forward. I have two points of emphasis, the big rose in the bottom left corner, and the two bigger diamonds in the top right corner. I made these two stand out compared to the rest of the design because I added very deep colors compared to the rest, which is just a solid red or silver.  The rose and to diamonds have  mixture of colors, making it stand out from the rest but not too much to the point where it takes your attention away from the rest of the design.

- My first word is Avatar.

An Avatar is an incarnation in human form. It can be a concept or philosophy often in a person, continuing basic entity. In a more simple form, it can mean someone who represents a type of person, idea, or a quality.

Synonyms: representation, symbol, appearance, manifestation.

Sentences:

- My second word is Florid. Florid is something that is too fancy, or something appearing to have a reddish color.

Synonyms: ornate, fancy, elaborate, rosy, red.

Sentences: It was so cold out that her cheeks became florid.
Her painting was florid.

To achieve this white on black design I used a solid black background and white lettering and overlapped the leaving some negative space in the background.

Monday, October 24, 2016

To show camouflage, i used came colors such as green and black and I changed the capacity on the lettering to make it look transparent and almost blend into the background.

To imply meant to suggest something rather than bluntly stating it. So to try and show that, I left space inside the lettering to show that something is there but not there. And that its more so an outline.
To show stable, I used the font Abadi MT Condensed Bold because when I think of something stable, I think of something well structured which is also why I used blocks to support the words.

I used bright colors to sho active. I used the font Edwardian Script ITC and made it that front because it was fun and loose just as active is.
In this design to show quiet, I left everything in a shade of white. I used the outer glow to show almost a mellowness to the word.
To show loud in this design, I left the background white so your attention is only focused on the writing. I wrote loud in big red lettering, using the Impact font and to make the spikes on the words I distorted the lettering. It almost looks like it is sending off vibrations.

The emphasis in my design is the green grass rooting from the bottom. This is the emphasis because it is closest to my subject, the elephant. From the bottom of the page the eye can move to the top where you see the same use of color and shapes in the trees, going in the same upward direction. from there you then see the background and the blue sky and in the corner a bight allow solid object which is filled with black writing representing my theme, nature.

The emphasis in this design could be interpreted as either the black outline of the sun or the black tall grass towards the right side of the design. The black grass stands out much more compared to anything else in the picture because of its boldness and clarity. whereas the outline of the sun is a unique shape because it is the only circular object in the picture, since it i transparent we can see the outline of the grass in the background which then leads down to the elephant and all around the elephant. This design relates to my theme because of the use of lines in the background which were representing the skin of my main subject, the elephant. The sun and grass which conclude my theme of nature. (Line)

The emphasis in this color design is specifically the elephant. The reason why this is the main focus in the picture is because the elephant is the specific object in my theme, nature. I made him the same color as the sun because I felt as if I made him a different color, he would have stood out too much and took focus off of everything else in the design. While looking at this yellow elephant, we're convinced to see the black outline of him which helps us then move our attention to the grass which helps even out the design along with the trees because the grass sprouts up to the roots of the trees then into the sky. (Color)

The emphasis in this design is the reverse of the sun in the top left corner. This is the emphasis because it stands out compared to everything else in the design because it is the only circular motion present, which then leads you to the trees which are of the same two values, grey and white. In the trees, we then go down to the roots which lead into the grass which is full of gradients containing dissimilarity. This design relates to my theme, nature, because of the night safari vibe, containing the subject, the elephant, the ground, and the trees in the environment. (Gradient/Fill)
The emphasis in this design is the smaller, darker elephant towards the right side of the design. This is the emphasis because although it is small compared to the rest, it is the most bold piece in this design and engages your attention fully. I used grass detailing with different values sprouting from the bottom, up through the elephants to the top.  This could also be seen as emphasis because it is a different pattern compared to the rest of the design, leading your eye all around the design. My theme is nature. This design relates to my theme because it includes the main subject, the elephant, patterns of the elephant, and grass which is crucial because it is apart of the environment the elephant lives in. (Pattern)
